March 9, 2026. Sticks & stones.

Day one of the tour, four groups, nine runs as year 49 marches on.

A mixed group of long time Ruby returning guests and others here for the first time.

The heat is on through the west with high pressure in control through the forecast period.

We found good skiing today, mainly on north facing terrain. Lower elevations and solar aspects are showing a warming snow surface.

The best skiing was near the head of Talbot Creek where the terrain is smooth and rolling.

We are headed south tomorrow to the land of Long and Segunda Canyon.

See you down there.

Sleep well.
