Day one of the three-day tour.
We followed the program we have been doing recently with orientations on the arrival night for an efficient first morning and getting on the snow early.
Six runs in the Lamoille Canyon Area today on East and South aspects chasing the sun angle.
Spring skiing conditions throughout terrain skied today. The snow surface warmed each run and the skiing improved during the time we were on the mountain.
There is a small window of skiing currently- when the surface is supportable and skiing is good, then it becomes too warm and gets unsupportable.
The window is roughly from 8am-noon which is when all of our skiing has taken place during the last week or so.
The plan continues tomorrow, on the mountain early and an exit before it gets too warm and the skiing deteriorates.
