Strong winds moved into the area with consistent guests in the 40-50’s overnight.
The winds decreased slightly this morning however not enough for a flyable condition.
The snowcat terrain in Conrad Creek has been marginal this season due to low elevation. Fortunately we have had generally great flying conditions in 2026.
Because of the high wind and the snowcat terrain not available, we did not ski today.
We took current guests on a scenic Lamoille Canyon tour where it looks more like June rather than the end of March with very little snow up to the canyon turnaround at 9,200 feet, rapid melting and full on run off taking place through all streams and water courses.
100 to 0. Due to conditions we have moved all remaining tours to the 2027 season, when Ruby turns 50.
See you tomorrow for day 3 of the tour and the final day of Ruby 2026.
The mountains always win.
