March 20, 2026. Spring.

The first day of spring.

We skied six runs in the Lamoille Canyon Area today with spring conditions on solar aspects.

The first two runs of the day took place on high east facing slopes with quality corn snow in the morning. Then we switched aspects for a transition run in Thomas Canyon which had variable snow surfaces.

The best skiing of the day was in Seitz Canyon- some of the highest terrain in the Ruby Mountains- skiing a warmed powder surface on high north facing slopes.

The final run of the day was in the Come Line which had variable snow with pockets of soft dapple mixed with firm wind effect. No one seemed to mind as the scenery took over one of the most signature runs in the range.

We made it through the hottest day in the forecast period today.

Temps begin a cooling trend tomorrow.

See you in the morning for day two of the tour.

Happy Spring.

Goodnight.
