March 19, 2026. Heat.

We knew the heat was coming.

Last night we got ahead of the day by doing the typical morning orientations after dinner.

This allowed us to get on the mountain by 8 am this morning, two hours earlier than usual on the first morning with orientations.

It was nearly perfect timing- maybe a little early for the first run but by the second we were skiing warmed surface corn snow high on east aspects.

Six runs in Thorpe Creek and out by noon before the real heat of the day began.

Even with the high temperatures, the skiing remains good quality.

A full group of 16 arrives tonight for the weekend.

Spring time at Ruby.

See you in the morning, sweet dreams.
