A new group of 16 guests arrived yesterday evening.
With 40+ degree high temperatures at 10,000 feet, it has had a spring feel the last few days here.
After morning orientations and a remote vehicle staging area set up, we timed our first run perfectly with the temperature melt/freeze crust coming off as we skied our first run.
We stayed in the Welch Creek area for 5 runs this morning until the snow surface became too soft, then transitioned to north/ west facing aspects to end the day.
8 runs on day one of the tour today.
We are headed south to Long and Segunda Canyon tomorrow for the first time in the 2024 season.
It’s always a treat down south.
