January 18, 2026. Extra Vertical.

We finished the first three-day tour of the season by skiing 5 runs, four of extra vertical in the Thorpe Creek area capping off an incredible tour filled with great people, full on adventure, good skiing and beautiful flying weather.

A new crew arrives tonight for the mid-week three-day tour.

The weather looks to remain favorable for good flying for the next several days.

The last measurable snowfall was 10 days ago. Over the last 10 days, although there hasn’t been any snow, the surface has faceted creating soft turns in protected terrain.

There are variable surface conditions throughout the range with some wind affected portions in exposed areas.

The long range weather continues to be all over the place predicting when this high pressure ridge that has been in control for the last 10 days will breakdown.

We will find out soon enough.

See you in the morning.
