The best thing I heard today was long time Ruby guest Bruce Olsen at the bottom of run 2. “This is much better than expected.”
Somehow, someway the Ruby magic was in full force.
Cold overnight temperatures continue to help the snowpack creating a supportable surface through terrain.
We skied with 16 guests, five lifts, NINE runs on day one of the three-day tour finding quality snow and skiing throughout terrain.
Cold Creek held soft, supportable skiing through the run.
Runs in Thorpe has a mixture of supportable soft surfaces and a warming “sticky” surface in the ski run bottoms.
The best skiing of the day was in Snell with a similar supportable soft surface throughout the run to finish the day.
Day 2 in the morning. That’s tomorrow. One day at a time.
Sleep well.
