Day one of the tour. Four groups. Ten runs in the Lamoille Canyon Area.
We chased the sun this morning getting on the mountain around 10:15 after orientations.
It was perfect timing with incredible corn skiing on east facing aspects on the highest peaks in Lamoille Canyon.
After a morning of solar aspects we switched to north facing terrain to finish the day with a mix of soft wind affect/ textured dapple snow on steep north facing slopes and warm snow on lower elevations near pickups.
The final run of the day was a west facing slope with a soft, warming surface throughout the run.
Full on spring conditions at Ruby.
More of the same tomorrow with continued high pressure through the forecast period.
Sweet Dreams & sleep well.
