February 3, 2026. Figure eights.

We went on a road trip with the crew. Sixty miles north, to the middle of nowhere.

Back to back eight run days. This time in the Independence Mountains.

Six different canyons and variety of terrain, skiing on east, north and west facing aspects.

The best skiing today was on sheltered northern aspects as well as the final two runs of the day on a northwest facing slope holding the best snow of the day.

Other aspects had variable surfaces with a mix of temperature, wind crusts and dapple soft snow.

We will finish the current three-day tour tomorrow with a big changeover day with a tour departing and the single day guests arriving.

A lot of terrain seen the last two days. More to come.

See you in the morning.
