Four days in a row- the weather forecast was for cloud to impact the flying operations in the mountains.
We rolled the dice and kept the single day tour on, even with the forecast.
A quick refresh overnight with 2-3 inches of new snow blanketed the upper elevations with soft snow skiing in north facing terrain and a “dust on crust” surface on solar aspects.
Front range cloud stacked against the canyons close to the lodge this morning but sometimes when that happens a little magic rolls in and the upper elevations and Lamoille Canyon are wide open.
Four different canyons and six runs later we finished the day defying expectations once again.
A full tour arrives this afternoon- some of the longest returning guests who join us each season.
Fire it up.
See you in the morning.
