December 28, 2025. season of magic.

A wonderful low-key Christmas in Lamoille with an incredible roast beast dinner from Francy that will be logged in the memories as one of the fondest meals I have ever had.

Cold air arrived after Christmas with the first measurable snowfall at the lodge since early November.

Prior to the cold air, the Great Basin had a very wet and warm pattern with snow levels near 10,000.

The mountains are currently white from the light snow we have had after Christmas however it is very thin coverage.

We remain a couple storms away from being able to access skiable terrain.

The long range weather shows an active pattern the first week of the New Year.

Santa said the snow is coming and we all believe.

Happy New Year.
