The first signs of fall are slowly creeping their way into Northern Nevada.
Warm days continue but the crisp mornings are becoming more common.
The aspen forests in the upper elevations are beginning to show the first slight changes from deep green to a lighter tone.
A cold front is expected this weekend with high temperatures in the mountains falling to the upper 40’s and low 50’s.
NOAA’s winter forecast came out a few days ago, calling for above average precipitation and below average temperatures for the Ruby Mountains during the 2024/25′ winter.
The lodge continues its busiest summer season we have ever had with sold out dinner nights each weekend.
Ruby 2025 is looking very busy with only a few tours with availability.
The annual chainsaws cut is in a few weeks with many of the guides coming to town for boys weekend with steak, chainsaws, and a nip or two of crown.
