A private ranch 40 miles north of Elko with not a soul around for tens of miles. True Nevada.
Maze, our 4 year old lab lives for days like this.
It was a day of duck hunting along the Owyhee River and also a recon trip north to see the Independence Mountains which we are able to ski.
Snotel data showed there was around 15-18 inches of snow at 8,500 feet in the Independence Range.
Typically we like to see at least double that for safe, sellable skiing. It is a great start for late November.

After this storm, high pressure builds for the west through the first week of December.
