For the fifth straight day we started the morning in the snowcats due to strong southwest winds at the lodge elevation.
After six runs in the cats in Conrad Creek the winds decreased enough to finish the day with two magic runs in the aircraft in Talbot Creek.
An incredible scene on the mountain, with storm clouds lingering, light snow falling, with the sun coming through the clouds and lighting the slope.
It was an incredible ending to the ski day.
8 runs today, 8 yesterday and a potential clearing tomorrow morning to finish the tour.
Someone told us today on the mountain, “if I never ski again, this is how I would want to remember it.”
Sleep Loose.
