March 21, 2025. it’s not a sandwich it’s a way of life.

Weather was on the horizon all morning as we presented the first morning orientations.

While we finished the final helicopter briefing, we still had a window of a flyable condition before conditions were expected to deteriorate.

Making the most of the time we had, we skied five runs in the helicopter in Thorpe Creek with fast, shallow powder conditions, skiing several runs we had not skied in more than a month, before weather moved in and we transitioned to the snowcats for three runs to finish the day.

Moderate snow moved in as we exited with a helicopter lift back to the lodge.

The snowpack stability is improving as we move into the third week of March.

Snow is expected tonight and into tomorrow.

Big day tomorrow, day 2 of the tour. See you at the window in the morning.

Goodnight to all.
