March 20, 2025. the first day of Spring.

We woke up to an 8,500 foot cloud ceiling and strong winds with 50+ gusts overnight at our remote weather station at 10,000 feet.

The forecast was for clearing skies and decreasing winds.

We slow rolled the morning orientations and began the day in the cats skiing three runs in Conrad before the weather improved with the sky going blue and winds decreasing for a flyable condition.

We finished the single day skiing three runs from the aircraft in Talbot Creek with shallow, fast powder skiing.

Unsettled weather is expected tomorrow and Saturday before a clearing trend begins Sunday.

Sixteen guests arrive this evening for the weekend three-day tour.

Happy first day of spring. We have the fever.

Sleep well.
