January 13, 2025. Year 48, Day 1.

A full day to start it off.

Clouds obscuring the upper third of the mountains were much slower to burn off than forecasted.

We started in the cats today skiing two runs before cloud cover improved and we moved to the aircraft and into Talbot Creek for 5 runs in the afternoon.

Very cold temperatures of single digits all day and no wind leading to a beautiful day of skiing for the first day of the season.

Shallow powder conditions exist throughout terrain skied today.

Weather is expected to be clear tomorrow and through the week as the west coast is dominated by a high pressure ridge.

Sleep well.
