February 27, 2024. sweet surprise.

Yesterday’s wind brought today’s reward.

We woke up to 4-6 inches of snow at the lodge with a foot of new snow at upper elevations in our terrain we skied today.

We started the day with three runs in Conrad Creek in the aircraft then moved to Talbot Creek for the rest of the day.

Nine runs today, one of the coldest days of the season with a high temperature of 15 degrees, continued strong ridge line  winds throughout the day and some of the best snow quality of the season.

Tomorrow the winds are forecasted to calm with sunny skies likely for the final day of the mid-week three-day tour.

A major winter storm is looming for the coming weekend with strong winds and heavy snow likely.

March is coming in like a lion.

Sleep well.
