Happy New Year from Ruby.
For the first time since the massive Christmas Holiday cycle, (doubling/ tripling the snowpack with an impressive more than 8″ of liquid at 9,000 feet), we saw the high alpine today with a trip to the top of Conrad Creek and the Ruby High Yurt.
A look into Talbot Creek and beyond showed good coverage throughout the terrain and a skiable product in runs we frequent during the season.
It is clearly still early season and thin in places, especially at the lower elevations.
There are several weak storms forecasted for the 4th and again on the 8th before high pressure builds for the next week. The long range models hint at an active pattern change around mid-month.
The coverage is good enough to get rolling and with that, we are offering a special to begin our 48th season.
