October 24, 2021. In the flow.

October has been good to the Ruby Mountains with one of the best October weather pattern’s that we have seen in years.

4-6 inches of new snow at the lodge on the night of October 21st and constant moisture today.

We are feeling effects of the powerful “bomb cyclone” or atmospheric river pummeling the CA coast with high snow levels today here in Northeastern Nevada.

The forecast is calling for additional moisture and a cold front to arrive tomorrow (Monday) morning with snow levels falling to the valley floor.
