Happy Thanksgiving from Ruby.
We spent the holiday weekend with family, wonderful food, great memories and beautiful views of the white Ruby Mountains.
Like most of the West, The Great Basin has been under a high pressure ridge for the last several weeks.
While there hasn’t been any active weather since November 8/9th, temperatures have been unseasonably cold, keeping the valley and the mountains looking very white.
An active pattern is expected to move in beginning tomorrow with Winter Storm Advisories for the area and 4-8″ likely in the Ruby Mountains.
The long range forecast keeps the active weather around through the first few days of December.
We are looking forward to our scheduled opening with guests arriving January 12 to bring in the start of year 46 of Ruby.
Enjoy the late fall and Holiday Season.
