A powerful storm settled into the Lamoille Valley and Great Basin with strong pre-frontal winds yesterday afternoon and evening.
Snow began early this morning and continued through the day today with incredible skiing in Conrad Creek in the snowcats.
Six runs on today’s single day tour of brilliant low density powder skiing.
We finished the day with a flight out of the mountains to a very snowy Ruby 360 Lodge.
People always ask me, “When is the best time of year to come to Ruby?”
I always give the same answer- Around February 9th or March 13th.
Joe and Francy’s birthday’s. And it always seems to be good around those dates.
Today was no exception. We were lucky to be able to ski in the birthday storm with the snowcat skiing option.
A lot of places would have been grounded today- but at Ruby we ski everyday. That’s the difference.
