January 8, 2025. the first glimpse.

A beautiful true Nevada day of cold temperatures, no wind and blue sky.

We were able to fly a large portion of the range today and saw the first glimpse of much of the skiable terrain.

Coverage looks great for early January. Several natural avalanches were observed which appeared to occur during the last storm system on January 4-6th.

It is still early season, the heart of the range which typically receives the most snow has the best coverage currently.

Guides arrived tonight ready for the first meeting of the year tomorrow morning.

Sleep well.
