The first run was tough but it got better after that.
The scenery made up for it, skiing seven runs in the heart of the range in the Lamoille Canyon Area with clear skies, little wind and cold temperatures.
A stout wind surface exists on west aspects with the best skiing being found in sheltered north facing terrain.
Tomorrow, for the second day of the tour we are headed south. Really south to the land of the Bristlecone Pine Trees, some of the oldest living organisms on Earth.
