January 24, 2025. flat.

Increasing winds and high clouds on the leading edge of a low pressure system were the weather story today.

We were able to make the most of the day skiing 6 runs in Talbot Creek with good skiing conditions, however the flat light and windy conditions were a challenge today.

A storm system is forecast to move into the area tonight and tomorrow with a Winter Storm Advisory currently in effect through tomorrow night bringing 4-6 inches of new snow to the Ruby Mountains.

We are looking forward to the storm and the first measurable snowfall in nearly 3 weeks.

The long range forecast becomes more active around the first of February with a deep west coast trough brining waves of moisture to the West.

Sleep well.
