Increasing winds and high clouds on the leading edge of a low pressure system were the weather story today.
We were able to make the most of the day skiing 6 runs in Talbot Creek with good skiing conditions, however the flat light and windy conditions were a challenge today.
A storm system is forecast to move into the area tonight and tomorrow with a Winter Storm Advisory currently in effect through tomorrow night bringing 4-6 inches of new snow to the Ruby Mountains.
We are looking forward to the storm and the first measurable snowfall in nearly 3 weeks.
The long range forecast becomes more active around the first of February with a deep west coast trough brining waves of moisture to the West.
