The first guide recon day on the snow.
We learned a lot today and much more to come.
Good skiing was found in Talbot and Thorpe Creek with shallow powder conditions throughout the majority of terrain with intermittent wind affected portions of runs.
The snowpack has several weak layers in it, one from the early season snow in late November and several from the December 24- January 4 storm cycle which we will likely be tracking throughout the season.
A weak low pressure system is expected to arrive tonight with strong winds and light snow.
We are planning on being in the snowcat terrain tomorrow setting up Conrad Creek.
It feels so good to be back.
