For the first time in the 2023 Ruby season, we did not ski today.
We finished the run guarantee for the three day package yesterday (Saturday) skiing 11 runs of brilliant shallow powder in Lower Talbot Creek.
The weather window check this morning showed a low cloud ceiling with deteriorating conditions through the day ahead of an incoming strong storm system. So, the three day tour guests decided to remember the day of yesterday, 11 runs with great flying to finish off a great trip to Ruby.
16 guests arrived this evening for the coming mid-week three day tour.
Heavy snow and strong winds were observed at Ruby 360 Lodge through the day.
Winter is in full effect with a snow advisory beginning tomorrow morning through Tuesday morning with up to a foot of new snow likely and a jaw dropping forecast for the next week of more than 40″ of new snow at 8,000 feet.
March is coming but Spring is going to be late.
